Idaho County isn't just Idaho's largest county—it's also a huge challenge for anyone working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In this presentation, we'll dive into what it takes to map this massive area and the roadblocks we often run into, from integrating different types of data to keeping things accurate across its varied landscapes.
We'll talk about how we utilize the ESRI suite of software and show are current projects and mapping tools(including a deep dive into my update process for Guardian maps).
So, if you're curious about how GIS works in big, tricky areas like Idaho County and want to see some innovative solutions to these big challenges, this presentation is for you.
Join us for a laid-back chat about the highs and lows of mapping our largest county and see how GIS is evolving to meet the needs of today’s data-driven world.
