GIS provides intelligence to support decision making during a disaster. GIS can be used to locate and evaluate various hazards such as floods and fires that affect the people of the Nez Perce Tribe along with the Nez Perce Tribe’s infrastructure and land resources. GIS components provide intelligence during disaster response to quickly provide the necessary resources to alleviate disaster damages. This presentation will focus on three GIS components which provide situational awareness for the Nez Perce Tribe’s emergency management team which include web mapping applications, field surveying, and dashboard operations.
