Using GIS to Create Disaster Response Survey Maps

Having our own fleet of aircraft offers a unique opportunity, allowing our pilots and disaster response team members to quickly survey an area affected by natural disasters by flying an airplane over the affected area, taking hundreds of images of the damage. This information is vital for preparing the response, as our aircraft respond faster and with more detail than most satellites. In addition, our photographs are used to provide geospatial intelligence, which can inform how many people were affected and what supplies are needed in the response.
